Personal Introduction
Hussain Saddam, PhD, is a Lecturer at the College of Life Sciences, Linyi University. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Botany from Islamia College, Peshawar, KPK, Pakistan, in 2015. Following this, he pursued a Master's degree in Botany at Northeast Normal University in China in 2016, supported by a CSC scholarship, and graduated in 2019. He continued his academic journey at Northeast Normal University, earning his PhD in Botany on a CSC scholarship.
He has been working at Linyi University since then. As both a first and co-author, he has contributed to 27 scientific articles in his field.
Teaching Work
He teaches the following undergraduate courses:
Frontier Advancements in Life Sciences
Introduction to Biosafety
Molecular Biology Laboratory
Research Interests
Identification and characterization of novel transcription factors involved in the regulation of hormone signaling, plant growth and development, and plant responses to environmental stresses in the model plant Arabidopsis and crops like soybean.
Investigating the mechanisms underlying the biosynthesis of health-promoting secondary metabolites, such as anthocyanins, in crops like sweet potato.
